MEET the founder

Simple CFO is founded and led by Matthew Lau, CPA, CFA, MAcc. He brings extensive expertise in personal and corporate taxation, uniquely combined with a personal finance perspective to serve owner-managed businesses.

Matthew launched Simple CFO after noticing a critical gap in the industry: clients were not getting timely responses from their accountants, let alone receiving information quick enough to make actionable decisions. This frustration became his mission. Today, he is committed to providing proactive, clear communication and ensuring every client is debriefed, empowered by his deep knowledge of taxation and personal finance concepts.

When he’s not simplifying complex finances, Matthew enjoys traveling the world and exploring different cuisines and cultures.
